To the Welch family. I remember coming by to pick up Keith for football Games at NU. Your family were always very inviting and greeting me with a smile. Alan was my mentor playing football for W.H.S. He was a very talented athlete and just a great person. I can only imagine the hurt and pain that you are all feeling, but as someone else said now he is free from all the pain and suffering. Please accept my sincere condolences. Kevin McGee

Alan was a classmate and a friend at Winthrop High School, admired by many and it's obvious that it continued well into his years. He came from a wonderful family and I can't imagine the pain of such a loss. May all the joy and memories be shared so that his grandchildren will know him even after death. Deepest sympathies to the Welch family.
