Obituary For Alexandra Antoniou

Alexandra (Sevastakis) Antoniou, 85, of Peabody, died Saturday April 1, 2023, surrounded by her family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Antonios Antoniou. Born in Samos, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Ioanis and Eleni (Dadaou) Sevastakis. She was raised in Greece and later lived in Australia where she married her husband. The couple and their son Konstantinos then immigrated to the United States and Peabody where she has lived for the past 55 years. Alexandra worked as an assembler for Avnet Electronics in Peabody for many years before retiring. Her life was characterized by dedication and love. She was dedicated to her husband, son, and entire extended family. Her love for them knew no bounds and her loyalty no limits. Alexandra enjoyed the simple pleasures of life - tending to her home and garden, staying active with St. Vasilios church through her strong faith, sharing her amazing culinary talents with loved ones, and interacting with her many friends. This devotion to family, faith, and fellowship defined her personality and character. Alexandra is survived by her son Konstantinos and his wife Bonnie Antoniou of Peabody, the joy of her life, her granddaughter Alexandra Antoniou, her brother Chris and his wife Mary Sevastakis of NJ, and several nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, George Sevastakis and Argero Valaskatzis. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Paleologos St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Saint Vasilios Church for the Parish Advancement Project.

My deepest sympathy to the Antoniou family in the passing of their beautiful mother and grandmother. We always sat near one another in church for services and what a wonderful charitable hospitable Lady she was always offering kind words of encouragement for any undertaking of our Church. People like her do not come along every day. It was my honor to have know her. I think she made us all better people.
