Methuen – Alice E. (Zorn) Chaput 83, partner of Robert Therrien, died at her daughter’s home in Essex, MA surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Henry O. and Elisa E. (Tristani) Zorn. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in Gerontology from Boston University.

Ms. Chaput had been employed for many years as an adult nurse practitioner having worked at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Government Center, Boston, as well as the Mass General Hospital-Chelsea Health Care Center, and numerous nursing homes until the time of her retirement.

Outside of her nursing career, Alice enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and sewing and enjoyed travelling all over the world. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving companion, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her longtime companion, she is survived by her son, Martin L. Chaput Jr. of Danville, NH, and three daughters, Lisa Alfano and her husband, Edward of Essex, MA, Laura Farnham and her husband, Edward of Punta Gorda, FL and Michelle Chaput of Minneapolis, MN, ten grandchildren, Erin Chaput, Jessica Chaput, Eric LaPointe, Lauren and Ryan Costello, Annmarie Alfano, Nicole LaPointe, Joshua Farnham, Connor Farnham and Emma Farnham and one great grandson, Jaxon Joyce, and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Mary Queen of the Apostle Parish – Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, MA, Friday, August 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Please meet directly at the church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice -Care Dimensions Family Fund, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923.
