Obituary For Alice E. Lantych

Peabody – Alice E. (Cooper) Lantych 77, beloved wife of the late Richard P. Lantych, died Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Beverly Hospital. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Alice (Yeaton) Cooper. She received her education in the Salem schools and graduated from Georgetown High School.

Mrs. Lantych had been employed in the physical therapy department at the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers. Prior to that she worked at the GTE Sylvania in Salem for twenty years.

A resident of Danvers for many years prior to moving to Peabody thirty years ago, Alice was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her are two sons, Richard F. Lantych of Peabody and David Lantych and his wife, Lucy of Peabody, six grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Blackburn, Brad Lantych, Allison Smitherman, David Lantych Jr., Brian Lantych and Adam Lantych and three great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Elmer Cooper.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Monday, January 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.

    Alice was my best friend. We spent summer vacations together at Newfound Lake in NH. We had countless sleepovers and met "on the corner" every morning to walk to school. There are wonderful memories and I loved her dearly.
