Obituary For Allen Russell Gallaher

Allen Russell Gallaher, 76, of Peabody died peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Ann (Hogan) Gallaher. Allen was born in Mt. Kisco, NY of June 25, 1946, the son of the late Burrell A. and Alice E. (Swanson) Gallaher and was raised and educated there receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Pace University.

He then entered the US Army serving in the Vietnam War. Following his discharge in September 1970, he began his entire working career with the Pepsi-Cola Company in Purchase, NY, Boston, MA, Lynn and Ayer MA for over 40 years prior to his retirement.

Allen had enjoyed going fishing and watching sports, especially the Boston Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots and also doing puzzles, but his most precious time was spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Ann of Peabody, a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Martha Gallaher of Weatherford, Texas two daughters and a son-in-law, Leanne and Mike Reed of Cetawba, NC and Alissa Gallaher of Marblehead, MA, his five grandchildren, Sean and Jenna Reed and Emma ,Dillon and Keegan Gallaher and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James Gallaher and Barbara (Gallaher) Merritt.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, 508 Lowell ST., West Peabody at 11:30 AM Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Salvation Army, 83 North St., Salem MA 01970 in his memory.
