Obituary For Anastasia Diminture

Peabody - Anastasia (Tilas) Diminture, 91, of Rockledge, Florida and formerly of Peabody, MA, died peacefully surrounded by her family on February 19, 2023.

She was the devoted wife of the late John Diminture with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. She was born January 30, 1932 and raised in Peabody, the youngest daughter of the late Angelo and Helen (Kalavritinos) Tilas. She was a graduate of Peabody High School class of 1951. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren. She was sister-in-law to Pauline Tilas of Peabody and pre-deceased by her brothers, sisters and their spouses, Charlie & Angie Mirageas, William & Marga Mirageas, Christos & Mary Tillas, Nicholas Tilas, Stephen Tilas, Georgia & James Maihos, Ann & Samuel Sakelakos. She had many adored nieces, nephews, and family friends, too numerous to list.

Stacia was a big part of my childhood growing up on Anita Road in Peabody. Her daughter, Eve, and I were childhood friends and beyond. I spent many hours at her home and one of my special memories is babysitting some of the younger children while everyone else went to midnight mass for Easter at St. Vasilios I was always invited to stay for the meal when they got home. That was special for me! I have so many good memories but mostly how generous and welcoming a person Stacia was. I offer my deep and sincerest condolences to the whole family. Jane (Wolovick) Curtis

Stacia was a fun lady with a lot of class. We remember visiting when Stacia and John were living in Peabody and went over for lunch. OMG delicious food galore. What a time. We went for a drive to Maine and they showed us the beach they took their kids. What a great time we had. We'll miss you Stacia as we have your husband John. Rest in peace...until we meet again. Love...Jim & Marzenna Carrick
