Obituary For Anna C. Richard

Peabody – Anna C. (Avery) Richard 90, beloved wife of the late Leonard S. Richard, died Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.

Born and raised in Larry’s River, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Pellrine) Avery. She emigrated to this country as a young woman and had resided in Somerville with her late husband Leonard Richard and their family for many years prior to moving to Peabody in 1999.

Anna was faithful to her church and was an active member of St. Adelaide’s Parish in Peabody. She enjoyed travelling to different countries, reading and knitting. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her are four daughters, Anna “Missy” Richard of Peabody, Anita Bucci and her husband, Ken of Lynnfield, Arlene Ktona and her husband, Jimmy of Belmont and Averell Carvalho and her husband, Frank of Harrison, ME, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, a sister, Loretta Richard of Halifax, NS and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Leonard Roy Richard and was pre-deceased by many siblings.

ARRANGMENTS: A visitation will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Monday morning, November 15, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, MA 01960.

    Mrs. Richard (Anna) always had a smile on her face. She was a "glass almost full" type of woman, she was kind and enjoyed laughing and being with people. She will be missed but not forgotten ❤️
