Obituary For Arthur Markos

Arthur Markos, 54, of Lynn, died unexpectedly on April 5, 2023. He was the devoted husband of Sally (Andrews) Markos with whom he shared over 9 years of marriage.

Born in Melbourne Australia, he was the son of Georgia (Dimakis) Markos of Peabody and the late Elias Markos. He immigrated to the United States and was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1986.

Arthur was a chef who worked for various family restaurants around the North Shore for many years. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, liked working on cars and enjoyed spending time outdoors, either at Nahant Beach or any camping ground. He had a passion for body building as well.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his 4 sons, Elias Markos of Northfield, NH, George, Nikos, and Anthony Markos, all of Bath, Maine, his step-daughters, Shannon Ouellette of Salisbury and Rachel Ouellette of Allston, his brother and sister-in-law, George and Joanne Markos of Wakefield, his sister, Kathy Iatrou of Peabody, his three grandchildren, Louie and Everleigh Markos and Jayden Carpenter, and is also survived by his 5 nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins here in Massachusetts and in Australia. He was predeceased by his father Elias Markos and brother-in-law, Christos Iatrou.

Visiting hours will be held Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Lynn. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.

    Dear Darling, part of my heart is gone with you and the rest of my heart holds you and all the memories we made and shared. You always made me feel safe and never scared. You definitely left too soon but I know it's for the best . You don't have to fight anymore and your soul's at rest. Rest easy my love and please watch over me from above. I know I'll see you again until then rest in peace.
