To this day, I still have a vivid memory of Avelino and Maria Emilia on the second floor of the old Carroll School. They were both attending evening school to learn English, and it was there that they met. During the break they would meet between the coat racks and spend time speaking together . We connected. A life time of memories they made from those days and those memories will alleviate some of the sorrow that we feel. Our condolences to Maria Emilia, Gene and family - Rest in peace Avelino.
