Obituary For Barbara Ann McGrath

Peabody - Barbara A. McGrath passed into the arms of the heavenly father peacefully on August 18, 2021. She was a woman who had a zest for life and enjoyed traveling around the world with her many friends. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed talking with them about current events. She enjoyed watching the Patriots and Redsox. She was a graduate of Saugus High School. She was employed by Avnet for 25 years until her retirement in 2012.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and always had a way of making people laugh. She had a knack of making lifelong friends. She will be missed but not forgotten by anyone she crossed paths with.

Barbara is survived by her sister Marilyn C MacNally, Her children Jonna McGrath Donovan of Peabody, And her son Matthew Mcgrath and his wife, Michelle of Rochester NH. Her grandchildren Michael Donovan and his wife, Amanda of Peabody and Kelly Donovan and her fiancé Adam Lambert of Sanford Maine.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 12 p.m. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, it was her wish to send donations to Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970, or Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.

    Tim and I had many laughs with 'Babs' over the years when she visited Jonna and the kids in our adjoining yards. She was always good for a smile and interesting conversation. We will miss her and wish her peace.
