Brian J Schultz, 69, of Haverhill and formerly of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Saturday August 6, 2022.

Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Francis and Sarah (“Sally” Rooney) Schultz. He grew up in Arlington and Waltham and graduated from Waltham High School in 1971. He continued his education at Bentley College where he also worked as a cook in their dining hall and received his bachelor’s degree in 1975.

Brian worked for Parker Brothers, Colgate Palmolive, and Foster Miller throughout his career as a financial analyst before retiring. He was always active and enjoyed woodworking, golfing, skiing, running, cooking for his family, and working in his yard. He cherished the family holidays he spent with his daughters and their families. He was the “man behind the lens” and loved taking pictures of his family.

Brian is survived by his three daughters, Jessica Rosa (m. Allen) of Newton, NH, Stephanie Gatchell (m. Wayne) of Salem, and Cara Malio (m. Christopher) of Newburyport, his brother, Frank Schultz of Hopkinton and by his beloved six grandchildren, Alexa, Mayson, and Maverick Rosa, Xander Gatchell, and Ethan and Dylan Malio. He was predeceased by his brothers, Danny, Andy, and Peter Schultz.

A celebration of life will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St, Peabody on Sunday, August 28, from 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Boston Children’s Hospital or donate blood in honor of Brian.
