Peabody – Carole A. (Thompson) Francis 78, of Peabody passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 5, 2023.

Carole was born on March 8th in Peabody. She was the daughter of the late Arnold L. and Margaret W. (O’Meara) Thompson. Carole spent her childhood in Salem and she graduated from St. James Catholic School.

Carole had been employed for many years in the retail industry, having worked at Sears and Roebuck and later at Target until the time of her retirement.

A longtime resident of Peabody, Carole enjoyed “mall walking” with friends at the North Shore Mall. She also enjoyed trips to the casino, and scratching lottery tickets.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought so much love and joy into her life. Carole’s love for her family did not go unnoticed.

Carole will truly be missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ambeliotis of Peabody, her son, Jeffrey Falkingham and his wife, Carla of Epping, NH, five grandchildren, Kayla Callahan, Justin Dzielnik, Matthew, Ella and Jacob Falkingham, two great grandchildren, Skylar and Sophie Callahan, four brothers, Robert Thompson of Ipswich, John Thompson of Salem, Carl Thompson of Salem and Joseph Thompson of Lynn and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Evelyn Perry and Eileen Sabino.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held on Friday September 8th at 1:00 pm for family and close friends. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
