Obituary For Carole A. Stella

West Peabody – Carole A Stella, 82, of West Peabody, beloved wife of Joseph A Stella, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude and George Hession. She moved to West Peabody with her husband in 1964 where they raised their family.

Carole spent many years as a Special Education teacher within the Peabody school system. She treated her students as extended family members. She touched and changed many lives for the better.

Carole loved to travel with her husband. They enjoyed many trips abroad with their closest friends. Carole also took each of her grandchildren on a trip of their choice when they turned 13. They had magical times in Paris, Rome, Venice and many other countries. She also enjoyed spending time at their lake house in Casco Maine, often surrounded by family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Joseph M. Stella and his wife Lisa of Ellicott City, MD, and two daughters; Jeani Stella-Devani of So. Royalton VT and Tina Stella of Lynnfield MA; her cherished grand-children, Damon, Samantha, Alexander, Dominique and Dylan; her siblings Bobby, Mary, Theresa, and John; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St, Peabody on Thursday November 17th at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Lahey Health at Home-Hospice Care, 600 Cummings Ctr, Suite 270X, Beverly MA 01915.

    My very deepest sympathies to Carole's Family. I was her hair stylist for many years. She told me so many stories about her family and her children and grandchildren. She had such great love for you all! We shared so many laughs through the years also. I will miss her so much🙏❤️🙏

    Auntie Carole made everyone feel special. She was the biggest personality in the room; I can hear her voice now. We were all blessed to know her, love her, and be loved by her, especially her family and her siblings. Her strong spirit lives on in her family.
