Obituary For Carole Letarte

Carole Letarte, 83, of Rowley MA passed away on Tuesday April 12 after a brief illness. Born in Salem MA, Carole was the daughter of Rene and Alice (Pierga) St. Pierre. She was predeceased by her daughter Donna Wowk and son Richard Daily as well as her husband James Letarte. Carole also had a deceased brother, Ronald St. Pierre and a surviving brother, Robert St. Pierre of Beverly.

An avid horse enthusiast, Carole was a thoroughbred horse trainer for over thirty years spending her time at Tampa Bay Downs and Rockingham Park with many friends and family.

She loved animals and seeing her grandsons play sports. Being a lifelong Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Red Sox fan, one of her greatest thrills was seeing TB 12 win a Super Bowl recently and the Red Sox reversing the curse. As a child her time was spent in Salem before moving and living in Peabody and Oldsmar, Florida in her adult years.

Surviving family includes her son Jeffrey Dailey of Conway, New Hampshire and her son Daniel Letarte of Rowley, her grandchildren Ryan and Sean Letarte, Christina and Stefania Wowk, and Deirdre, Erin, and Tara Dailey.

Wake services will be private to the family and a graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Tuesday April 19th graveside at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
