Obituary For Carolyn Ann Juliano
Carolyn Ann Calandrella Juliano, 82, of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born in Winchester, MA on September 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna (Charlotte) Escott Calandrella. Carolyn was the beloved wife of Anthony Juliano of 48 years, and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Surviving her are her son, John, daughter-in-law, Yevgenia, and grandson, Robert of Poolesville, Md.; daughter, Karen Lapolla, son-in-law, Joseph, grandchildren, Anthony and his wife Meaghan, Brianna, and Kelsey of Peabody, and great-grandchild, Salvatore; daughter, Lisa Fruggiero, son-in-law, Roger, and granddaughters, Juliana, Giada, and Marisa of Salem; and son, Anthony, daughter-in-law, Dana, and grandson, Alex of Fort Wayne, Ind. She was the sister of the late Richard Calandrella of Acton and the aunt of several nieces and nephews, and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Carolyn was a Peabody resident for the past 53 years and a communicant of St. Adelaide Parish. She dedicated much of her life to her family, including supporting her husband’s work as an ordained Deacon, CCD teacher, and community volunteer. Carolyn was also a passionate advocate for children and animals. She cared for her grandchildren and other family members and her devotion to them all was limitless. She was also employed as a nanny, providing childcare for several local families over the years. She rescued multiple cats and dogs throughout her lifetime, as well as volunteering and working for various animal welfare businesses and organizations. She especially had an intense love for cats and was widely known as the ultimate “Cat Lady.”
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, January 17, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Saint Adelaide Church and the burial will be at St. Mary of the Annunciation Cemetery in Danvers.
