Charles E Brusard, 83, of Cambridge and Arlington, died Monday May 30, 2022, at Brightview Senior Living in Danvers. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Magner) Brusard. He was predeceased by his siblings Anna Waters, Peggy Murphy, Molly Feanny and Patrick Hassett, and is survived by many nieces and nephews in the United States, Ireland, Jamaica and Canada. He received his master’s degree in mathematics from Boston College and was a professor of mathematics for over 40 years at Assumption College (now University) in Worcester. He served as chair of the mathematics department for several years, and in 2011 was appointed to professor emeritus status. Charles always made time for his students and in 2018 he received the Honorary Alumnus Award for outstanding devotion and generosity to Assumption College. He enjoyed listening to classical music and attending performances of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and had a strong Catholic faith. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his graveside committal and burial service on Thursday June 9 at 11:00 at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
