Obituary For Cheryl A Lebel

Cheryl A. (Seaberg) Lebel, 77, of Peabody, died early Sunday morning surrounded by her family at the Ledgewood Nursing Home in Beverly following a brief illness.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ann (Yamchuk) Seaberg. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1962.

Cheryl was employed with Purity Supreme and later Stop & Shop in Danvers for over 35 years before retiring in 2014. Frequently customers would hear Cheryl sing “Happy Birthday” to other co-workers over the speaker system! Cheryl enjoyed traveling to Martha’s Vineyard and various local beaches where she would enjoy reading and relaxing. She loved the company of dogs and offered to dog sit for anyone. Mostly she helped a lot with her “grand-pups”. One of her most favorite times of her life was high school and loved to recall memories of when she was the head cheerleader for the Peabody High School football team. Truly her greatest love was her only son, Russell and then it grew to epic love for her grandson R.J.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Cristen Lebel of Billerica, her brother Jim Seaberg of Peabody, her grandson, Russell J. Lebel, Jr, by her niece, Pamela Raye and many cousins from Peabody and surrounding areas. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Diane Seaberg.

Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody and her Funeral Service will be on Friday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to www.alabforlife.org.
