Obituary For Christina M. (Grieve) Wronkowski

Christina M. (Grieve) Wronkowski, 88, of Peabody, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald W. Wronkowski with whom she shared 61 years of marriage prior to his passing in October of 2016.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late David Blair and Christina (McLean) Grieve. Mrs. Wronkowski was raised and educated in Scotland. She emigrated to the United States in the 1950s.

Christina worked in the retail industry for many years, where she held different positions until the time of her retirement.

She was a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, a member of St. Cecilia’s Choir, and a member of The Daughters of St. Joseph. Christina was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her are her children, Diane E. Wronkowski of Peabody, Lynn C. Wronkowski-Bearden and her husband, Dr. William H. Bearden of Naples, FL., and Irene H. Wronkowski of Haverhill; her niece and nephew, Irene MacMillian and Alan Taylor of Scotland; and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Wronkowski; and her sister, Katherine Taylor.

Arrangements: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, MA. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Roger B. Trask Adult Day Health Center, 75 Central St., Peabody, MA 01960, or to the Service Dog Project, 37 Boxford Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938.
