Obituary For Christine D Johnson

Christine D (Popowicz) Johnson, 73, of Peabody, died Sunday January 30 at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of William “Bill” Johnson with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage.

With her degree in education and her fluency in several languages, Christine taught Spanish for over 30 years at Malden Catholic High School before retiring a few years ago. She was a member of the Sons of Italy, Ladies Auxiliary in Woburn for many years as well.

Besides her loving husband Bill, she is survived by her son, Steven Johnson of Peabody, her daughter, Lisa Johnson and her husband Dana of Milford, NH, her two brothers, Andrew Popowicz of Danvers, and Victor Popowicz of Florida, her two nieces Michelle DaSilva of Haverhill, and Jennifer Sarcione of Seabrook, NH and is also survived by her beloved three grandchildren, Morgan, Audrey, and DJ Johnson.
