Constance M. “Connie” (Rizza) Cravotta, 86, of Peabody died peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers surrounded by her family. She was the devoted wife of Raffaele J. “Ralph” Cravotta with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. She was born in East Boston on June 15, 1936, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Lauria) Rizza and was a graduate of East Boston High School. She had resided in Peabody for the past 54 years.

She was first employed as a telephone operator and after her marriage she worked at various others positions until her retirement from the Lynnfield School System as a cafeteria supervisor. Connie enjoyed going to bingo, and playing cards and Mahjong. She also spent her summers camping up in New Hampshire for over 40 years where she made many life-long friends. Her most precious time was spent with her family and watching her grandchildren grow into maturity.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Cravotta of Peabody, a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Diane Cravotta of Henderson, NV, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Martin Scafidi of Peabody and Traci and Michael Freeman of Union KY, her grandchildren, Dana Jamie, Daryl Jan, Jessica Lynne, Nicole Marie, Kathryn Jennie, Christopher Joseph and her 5 week old great-grandson, Joseph Daniel Scafidi. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM from the Funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody at 11:00 AM.
