Obituary For David G. Carlucci

David "Dave" G. Carlucci, 64, of West Peabody, passed away the morning of Friday, November 26 surrounded by his loving family at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington. He was the devoted husband of his High School sweetheart, Jean M (Huygens) Carlucci, with whom he shared more than 44 years of marriage and three children.

Dave was the son of the late Michael and Barbara (Pinkney) Carlucci of Melrose. He was a graduate of Melrose High School class of 1975. Shortly after their marriage, Dave and Jean moved to West Peabody, where they have made their home for almost 40 years.

Dave was the founder and President of a successful Commercial Cleaning Company which he ran for more than 45 years. He was an ambitious, self-made man who touched many people's lives, including his employees and friends. However, the true impact of his life can be seen most clearly through the love and devotion of his family.

While he had many varied hobbies and interests, including a passion for New England sports, his favorite pastime was spending time with his wife and family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, but he always preferred the comfort of his own backyard pool and the company of his family and friends. Anyone who has spent any time at Club Carlucci has experienced his hospitality firsthand. There are children from North Andover to Scituate who learned to perform the "Triple Lindy" on Dave's diving board and hunted Jackalopes in his backyard.

In addition to his loving wife Jean, Dave's family includes his three cherished daughters and their families Nicole and Chad Brandolini and their children Bennett, Zakary, Bianca, and Leo of Scituate, Jaclyn and Daniel (predeceased) DeStefano and their children Daniel Jr, and Sailer of Rowley, and Kristen and Adam Paicos and their son, Wesley of Templeton, his brothers, Michael, Kenneth, and Scott Carlucci, his sister Suzanne Carlucci-Hatch (predeceased) and her husband Doug Hatch, his sisters-in-law, Mary Kamelle and Kerry Carlucci, his niece Alana and nephews Nicholas, Cole, and Michael along with several other nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass in Dave's honor will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 1st at 10:30 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody, immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
