Obituary For David W. Porter

Woburn – David W. Porter 51, formerly of Peabody, beloved fiancé and companion of seventeen years to Patrice Trodella, died Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading surrounded by his family.

Born and raised in Malden, he was the son of the late Herbert and Eleanor (McHugh) Porter.
David had been employed as a truck driver for TG Gallagher Mechanical Contractors in Andover for the past five years.

A longtime resident of Peabody prior to moving to Woburn seven years ago, David was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and had a great love for animals. He was a loving companion, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his fiancé, Patrice, he is survived by Mariana Trodella of Woburn, three brothers, Joseph Porter and his wife, Elizabeth of Peabody, Timothy Porter and his wife, Kelly of Salem and John Porter and his wife, Diane of Burlington, his aunts, Mary McHugh and Roberta Berry both of Peabody, his loyal and faithful pet dog, “Zoie” and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephew as well as the Ruocco and O’Donnell Families.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. At the request of the family, masks are required. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970 or the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill St., Reading, MA 01867.
