David Ward Shaw, 87, of Haverhill, MA, passed away, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA. He was the devoted husband of the late, Diane (Whitworth) Shaw. David was born in Winchester, MA, April 4, 1935, the son of the late, Frederick and Evelyn (Hurley) Shaw. He was raised and educated in Malden, MA, graduating from Malden High School and honorably served his country in The United States Army. David was a graduate of Northeastern University, earning a degree in Civil Engineering. He was employed as a Civil Engineer with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for several years before his retirement. David is survived by his two children, John Shaw and wife, Dawn and Susan Martin and husband, Ken. He also leaves behind, five grandchildren, Sean Shaw, Angela Lenker, Larry Shaw, Kendra Ireland and Brandon Qualter and several great-grandchildren. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours, Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 10:00AM – 12:00pm at The Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody, MA 01960. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial is private.
