Obituary For Dolores Rose DiNush

Dolores Rose (DelGaudio) DiNush, 87, of Peabody, died Sunday evening surrounded by her loving family at her home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Felix DiNush.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela (Mattarazzo) DelGaudio. She was raised and educated in Boston and has spent the last 21 years living in Peabody.

Dolores started her working career as a telephone operator for the phone company for over 20 years and upon her retirement, she continued working part-time for ten years for the Boston Public School System as a teacher’s aid before she finally retired.

Dolores enjoyed dancing, gardening, and watching game shows on TV. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Adelaide’s Church for many years, and more importantly was devoted to her family and later her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Dolores is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Maureen DiNush of Peabody, her two daughters and sons-in-law, Camille and Joseph Connors of Wilmington and Mary and Kenneth McDonough of Peabody, her beloved 6 grandchildren, Christin Mainini and her husband Jason, Jennifer Perow and her husband Derek, Megan J. DiNush and John F DiNush, and Emily R. McDonough and Michael K. McDonough, and by her great grandson, Dylan Mainini, and is also survived by her two sisters, Gloria Prince and Mafalda Risti, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Samuel DelGaudio, her two sisters, Antonetta Inzirillo and Lucy Laura and by her daughter-in-law, Anna (Piccardi) DiNush.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody and her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Adelaide’ Church, Lowell St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing as well.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Adelaide's Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, MA 01960
