Dorothy "Dot" Catherine (Lewis) Walsh, 80, of Peabody died Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the Twin Oaks Nursing Home, Danvers with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of 39 years to George F. Walsh who died in 1999. Dorothy was born in Chelsea, MA on June 10, 1941, the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (McHatton) Lewis and was raised and educated in Malden before moving to Peabody almost 60 years ago. She was a homemaker and loving mother for many years before working at Dunkin Donuts and later for over 25 years at Harbor Sweets in Salem prior to her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going bowling in Peabody and Beverly, and also playing bingo at the north shore churches. She also liked to travel to Foxwoods , Mohegan Sun and Twin Rivers Casinos . She had a love of country music and enjoyed listening to Willie Nelson, George Strait and other country artists. She also had a love of animals especially her dogs. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Maegen Abbott Walsh of Middleton, four daughters, Denise and her husband Roger Grace and Ann Marie Walsh all of Peabody, Terry and her husband Wayne Robinson of Hattfield, PA, and Lisa Kiwacz of Beverly, a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Lou Lewis of Panama City, Florida, eleven grandchildren including George and James Grace and Parker and Connor Walsh, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Brian Walsh who died in 2002 and grandmother of Bryson Walsh who died in 2004, and the sister of the late Linda Foster. A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 4:00 to7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass in St John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody at 10:00 AM.
