Obituary For Eileen C. Gross

Peabody – Eileen C. (Cremens) Gross 82, formerly of Cambridge, died Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Born and raised in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (McDonald) Cremens. She received her education in the Cambridge school system.

Mrs. Gross had been employed from many years as a nurse’s aide for nursing homes in the Cambridge, Medford and Somerville area, until the time of her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie Ford of Lynn, four sons, Stephen Sheldon and his wife, Cindy of Peabody, Lawrence Sheldon of Lynn, John Sheldon of Peabody and Michael Gross of Utah, eight grandchildren, Stephen, Jessica, Joseph, Shawn, Dylan, James, Brittany and Victoria, four great grandchildren, Kaylee, Jaxson, Kingston and Theodore, two sisters, Elizabeth Janis of Chelmsford and Judy McGahey and her husband Lawrence of Peabody and a brother, James Cremens and his wife, Patricia of Ayer. She was also the sister of the late Agnes Cremens, Peggy Andrews, Joseph Cremens Jr., Joan Farrell and Diane Cremens.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Monday, December 26 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970. For directions and online guestbook, please visit www.ccbfuneral.com.
