Obituary For Elaine S.D. Moody

Elaine Sophia (Demitropoulos) Moody, 78, of Peabody, died peacefully on Monday May 1 at her home. She was the beloved wife of David C Moody with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late William and Leona (Myers) Demitropoulos. She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1962. She has lived in Peabody for the past 54 years.

Elaine was a property manager for Hallkeen Management and Neptune Towers for over 46 years. She enjoyed giving to others and was always willing to help those who were in need. She also served as treasurer at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn for over 25 years.

Besides her loving husband David, she is survived by her two sons, Alex and his wife Kristin Moody of North Andover and William Moody Karen McInnis of Danvers, her twin sister, Joanne Tague of San Diego, CA, her beloved six grandchildren, Austin and his wife Chelsey Moody, and Alexis and Tyler Moody, and Sawyer, Tate, and Maris Moody, her great grandchildren, Wynn and Ada Moody, and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Alexander and George Demitropoulos and her sister Paulette Langone.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 7th from 2:00 until 5:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Monday, May 8th at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home in Peabody, followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 South Common St, Lynn to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy can be made In her name to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 So. Common St, Lynn, MA 01902.
