Salem – Elizabeth Anne “Beth” Rakoc 63, died Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the North Shore Medical Center in Salem.

Born in Boston, Beth was the daughter of Regina (Lach) Rakoc of Danvers and the late Eugene Rakoc. Beth attended St. Thomas the Apostle School in Salem and Salem High School. Beth moved to New Hampshire and attended the New Hampshire Technical School. Upon returning to the North Shore, Beth earned a certificate as a certified nurse’s assistant, working at the Shaughnessy Rehabilitation Hospital in Salem. Beth continued her education at the North Shore Technical School where she studied to become a medical secretary and worked in the communications department at Beverly Hospital until the time of her illness.

Beth had a wide variety of interests and maintained strong friendships throughout her life. Beth displayed musical and artistic talents during her younger years and always held a deep affection for the many animals she cared for.

In addition to her mother, Beth is survived by a brother, John Rakoc and his wife, Joanne, two nephews, Daniel and Samuel. Beth’s longtime partner, Bruce Scott predeceased her. Beth’s family wish to thank all who helped Beth through her long illness.
