Obituary For Elizabeth T. (Betty) Creeden

Obituary of Elizabeth T. Creeden Peabody – Elizabeth “Betty” (Cavanaugh) Creeden 92, beloved wife of the late John B. Creeden, died Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Brooksby Village in Peabody. Born and raised in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (McMahon) Cavanaugh. She received her education in the Wilmington school system and graduated from Wilmington High School. Mrs. Creeden had been employed for many years as an administrative assistant for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Cooperative Extension Service until the time of her retirement. A resident of Peabody for almost sixty years, she was a parishioner at St. Adelaide’s Church in Peabody, a member of the Peabody Historical Society and was a member of the Paul Madore Chorale in Salem. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving her are two daughters, Mary Creeden of Middlesex, VT and Kathleen Kimmel of Louisville, CO, a son, Robert Creeden of Salisbury, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister, Marguerite Kearns of Hot Springs, SD and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Dennis Creeden. ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, MA 01960.
