Obituary For Emma L. (Nudd) Everson

Peabody- Emma Louise (Nudd) Everson, 91, beloved wife of the late William E. Everson, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born on October 10, 1929 in Henniker, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Della (Nudd) Burnham and husband, Charles A. Burnham of York ME. She was a graduate of Cogswell Memorial High School. Oh, by the way, she was voted best dressed in 1948!

Mrs. Everson had been employed at the Salem Country Club and would love to share her stories about how many famous people she met during her 12 years of employment. She then worked for NASCAP in Peabody for over 30 years taking care of the elderly until her retirement in 2007. When it was Emma’s time to get help as an elder, she set everything in place without the help of family members! She was truly an amazing person being a widow for 31 years.

Emma loved music, her favorite being Engelbert Humperdink. Last count was 6 concerts that she attended! In addition, she was an avid Celtics fan. If you were in her home while the Celtics were on you would hear a lot of cheering going on! One of her hobbies was collecting anything “LIGHTHOUSE”! Her favorite was the “Nubble Light” in York Maine where she spent most of her childhood years. Emma was also a dog lover! Way too many to name. Her Bridget will be going with her and her pug Rosie will be taken care of by family. Most importantly, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She dedicated her time to raising her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two sons, Wayne E. Everson and his wife, Gail of Peabody, and Duane E. Everson and his wife Donna of Salem; her two daughters, Evelyn L. Fraser and her husband, Craig of Salisbury, and Jane M. Smith and her husband, Paul of Peabody who cared for in her home with her for the last seven years; her grandchildren, Daniel Smith and his wife, Kelly, Eric Smith, Derek Everson and his wife Alissa, Dylan Everson, Michael Everson, Matthew Everson, Jonathan Everson and his wife Bianca, Cailin Fraser, Chad Fraser and his wife Alicia; and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Adelyn, Cooper, and Owen.
In addition to her late husband, her mother and stepfather, she was predeceased by her stepson, Malcolm Burroughs, of Bury St. Edmonds England.

A visitation will be held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Her funeral will be held in the funeral home on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Peabody. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
