Emmanuel S Makrogiannis, of Peabody, died Wednesday evening at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Eva C (Stamoulis) Makrogiannis.
Born in Samos Greece, he was the son of the late Stavros and Pagona Makrogiannis. He was raised and educated in Greece and later immigrated to the United States in 1967 and has lived in Peabody for the past 54 years.

He loved cooking and taking walks on the beach, and always had a smile on his face. He was good natured about everything and was a very selfless person, always putting everyone else first. He will be dearly missed by all.
