Obituary For Florence J. Leone

Byfield – Florence J. (Lang) Leone 85, beloved wife of the late Achille “Bing” Leone Jr., died Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Boucher) Lang. She received her education in the Beverly school system.

Prior to moving to Byfield, she was a longtime resident of East Boston and Everett.

“Mema” as her children & grandchildren referred to as, was their #1 fan at all their events. She was always making arts and crafts for everyone to enjoy. Her beautiful talent was for her to crochet and knit and make beautiful afghans and slippers. She enjoyed Bingo and visiting casinos. Most of all she enjoyed the time with her family especially Sunday Dinners.

She was always so pleasantly happy and her smile and chuckling laughter were contagious. She and her husband Bing (Achille) were hardly ever apart so she now resides peacefully with him again. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her are three daughters, AnnMarie Lewis and her companion, Paul Pietrantonio of Byfield, Kimberly Leone and her companion, Louie Pires of Everett and Deanna Martin and her husband, Tim of Georgetown and mother of the late John Leone, eight grandchildren, David, Darren, Giovanna, Skyla, Nicole, Cameron, Colin and Reese, several nieces and nephews including Kenneth DeFeo and his wife, Judy of Revere and a daughter-in-law, Jackie. She was predeceased by her husband, Achille “Bing” Leone.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
