Peabody – Francis W. “Frank” Anderson Jr. 91, beloved husband of Barbara A. (Shore) Anderson, died Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his family.

Born in Binghamton, NY, he was the son of the late Francis W. Sr. and Florence A. (Labore) Anderson. He received his education in the Binghamton school system and was a graduate of Fisher College in Boston.

An honorably discharged and proud veteran, he served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Marine Corps., having seen action in the “Battle of the Chosin Reservoir”.

Frank had been employed for thirty years by the General Electric Company Aviation Division until the time of his retirement in 1995.

A resident of Peabody for the past sixteen years and prior to that in Lynn, he had a great love for boating and was a longtime member of the Volunteer Yacht Club in Lynn. Frank was also a member of the Elks Post #642 in Saugus and the VFW Post 1240 in Swampscott. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, with whom he shared sixty-one years of marriage, he is survived by his daughter, Helen M. Bennett and her husband, Peter of Salem, his son, Frank B. Anderson and his wife, Janet of Peabody, six grandchildren, Ashley DaSilva and her husband, Anton and their son, Benjamin of Peabody, Abigail Burns and her husband, Paul their daughter, Eloise of Salem, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and her husband, Daniel of Lynn, Frank B Anderson Jr. and Daniel Anderson of Peabody and Jennifer Anderson of North Andover, a brother, Roy Anderson of Binghamton, NY and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
