Obituary For Frederick R Kimball

Frederick Raymond Kimball, 79, of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6,2022 after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease at Kaplan Hospice in Danvers with his wife and children by his side. He was born in Peabody on September 26, 1942, the second oldest of four children to Edward and Evelyn Kimball and was proud to be a member of the last graduating class of Peabody High School in 1961 at the Seeglitz building on Central Street . Following his graduation, he was employed by the United Shoe in Beverly and later by Jack Cuttle as his rookie electrician apprentice. He received his Master Electrician license in 1973 and opened his own business, F.R. Kimball Electric which remained in business for over 55 years. He was extremely proud of his accomplishment coming from nothing to creating a well-respected and successful business which he considered “The American Dream.” His retirement was filled with spending quality and cherished time with his Kids and grandchildren and also taking time at the Villages in Florida with his wife Marilyn of 54 years. Fred was supported every day of his life by his amazing, supportive and loving wife of 54 years. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't tell her that he loved her and that she was beautiful. Fred knew that he had the best life on earth and found that it was so hard to leave his loved ones behind. He also thanked everyone around him that showed him so much love and respect, including his son and daughter-in-laws, nephew, as well as Janet and Joanne, caretakers to Fred who became part of our family.

Fred’s true passion were antique cars which he owned many along the years and also sharing time with his three grandchildren, He enjoyed playing golf, travelling and watching hockey games.

Fred is survived by his wife, Marilyn, a daughter and son-in-law, Jodie and John Anderson, two sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Kristin Kimball and Dale and Stacy Kimball, his 3 precious grancdchildren, Nakota, Gracie and Emma Kimball. He also leaves behind a brother Kenneth Kimball, and was predeceased by his sisters, Florence and Linda. I really loved my Uncle Freddie and love my Auntie Marilyn. They were like a second father and mother to me. Some of my favorite memories are when I stayed at their house. My Uncle was funny, had a great sense of humor and made me and my Auntie laugh. I will miss him a lot.
