My condolences to the family of Gary Linehan! I have known Gary since the 4th grade at the Center School and a fellow 1973 PVMHS Graduate! He was a presence in Peabody High School sports! May his memory be eternal! RIP!

Gary was four (4) years ahead of me at PVMHS. He was a legend, and so very sorry Elaine and family for your loss.

Billy, Jimmy, Jeff and all the Linehan Family, please accept my sincere condolence during this time of Gary's passing. We have all gone our separate ways in life but my memories still remain throughout the all the years. Memories of Gary and the Tanners Court Gang playing all the sports we played growing up. Memories that will stand the test of time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Our son David was a pitcher for Peabody High School. Gary coached him through his junior and senior year. The word "coach" encumbered so many meanings when Gary became a part of his life. Gary not only taught the art of pitching, he embodied sportsmanship, team playing, confidence, passion, fairness, truth and trust. He made a profound impression on our son throughout his years at Peabody High School Baseball. We, his parents were so thankful for Gary's indelible mark that was left on our son. Gary's memory will be eternal in our hearts. On behalf of the Apostolides Family, we wish the family of Gary Linehan peace and comfort in the days ahead. He will be profoundly missed.

Elaine, Brad, and Marc – we are crushed at Gary's passing, and heartbroken for you. The special memories we Doonans have of Gary are seemingly endless. Being neighbors with him and you three on Allen Road Extension; the constant whiffleball games in your backyard or at the top of the cul-de-sac; our kids being coached by him for years in baseball and basketball and learning the meaning of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play; his genuine happiness when a kid he coached attained success in or out of athletics; my being honored to serve as his assistant Little League coach; years of carpooling to the South School and Higgins. I have so many fond memories of Gary at family parties on Emerson St. I'll never forget our Disney trip and the jam packed mini van ride trying to get out of the thunder storm at Blizzard Beach. I was shocked to hear about Gary. He was my supervisor when I was a park instructor, my oldest son's basketball and baseball coach and my youngest son's pitching coach in high school. Elaine, Brad, Marc, & family, I was so sad to hear of Gary's passing. I think of him always smiling & laughing. I fondly remember seeing him working out at the Y, sharing funny tips about Aruba & Vegas trips, and referring to me & Amy as his 'nieces.' My mother in law even met him over the past year or so at McArthur where my little one would play with the grandkids. We always felt like family. We will miss his presence throughout Peabody. I`m sorry to hear about the passing of Gary. I`ve known him for many years but not as a close friend but an acquaintance. He always had a big smile and a friendly greeting whenever would run into each other. He comes from a great family in Peabody and will be missed by many.. My condolences to his whole Family.
