Obituary For Gene Paul Palaro

Gene Paul Palaro, 89, of Saugus, passed away Saturday January 22, 2022 at the Melrose/Wakefield Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Lisa (Dominaux) Palaro with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.

Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Frank and Barbara (Duff) Palaro. He was raised and educated in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School, class of 1950. Upon his graduation, he enlisted with the United States Marine Corps and served for three years.

In 1963, he established Palaro Pools, now operated as Sunline Patio in Danvers. Gene was a family man and when he was not working, he loved to travel and was an avid N.E. Patriots fan.

Gene is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Palaro, his two daughters, Cynthia Palaro of Saugus and Diana Menesale and husband Kenneth of Byfield, his two sons, Jason Palaro of Danvers and Adam Palaro of Danvers, his beloved grandchildren, Kayla and Jennifer Menesale, Samuel, Rachel, and Caleb Palaro, and Sydney and Diana DiGiulio. He is also survived by step son Glen and wife Rose Dominaux, and their family Craig and Lisa Dominaux, Leann and Mark Schaay, and 4 step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Gordon Palaro, Frances Blanchard, and Barbara Palaro.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody. Memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
