Obituary For George N. Dimopoulos

George N. Dimopoulos, 83, of Danvers, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Florence (Boudros) Dimopoulos. George was born in Kalamata, Greece, May 7, 1939, the son of the late, Nicholas G. and Anastasia Dimopoulos. He was raised and educated in Greece and moved to America in 1965. George successfully owned and operated Seacoast Motors for several years until his retirement. He was a member of the Pan-Messian Society and New England Federation Society. George attended St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn. He enjoyed gardening, traveling to Greece with his wife and spending time with family and friends. George is survived by his wife, Florence Dimopoulos and two sons, Nicholas Dimopoulos and wife Kathy and James Dimopoulos and wife Anastasia. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, George, Louis, George, Dean and Felecia, brother Dimitri Dimopoulos and sisters, Lefki Demopoulos and Maria Anagnostopoulos. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours, Thursday, December 22, 2022, from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 S Common St, Lynn, MA 01902. A Church service will immediately follow at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation by visiting www.lymphoma.org.
