Obituary For Helen l McInnis

Helen L (Donlon) McInnis, 97, of Peabody, died Thursday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Home surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Maurice “Bud” McInnis.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Hanley) Donlon. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. Helen was first employed with General Electric in Lynn doing clerical work and then was a payroll clerk for Sylvania on Loring Ave in Salem for over 20 years before retiring.

Helen enjoyed going to the casinos and gambling and loved buying scratch tickets. She loved being with her family and going to lunch with her sisters at local eateries and catching up with them, and she also enjoyed watching her cop shows as well.

Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Carol McInnis of Peabody, her sister Esther Breen of Peabody and Mary Donlon, her daughter-in-law, Lori McInnis, and is also survived by her five grandchildren, Shannon and her partner Brandon, Mark and his wife Sarah, Chantal, Amanda and her husband Josh, and Caitlin, her three great grandchildren, Cameron, Bryce, and Audrina, and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased her son Mark McInnis, her daughter, Maureen Clarke, her siblings, Joseph Donlon, Lillian Guzofski, and Betty LoCicero.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Caring for a Cure, C/O MGH Hospital, 55 Fruit St, Boston, MA 02114.
