Obituary For James M. "Jimmy" Dabrieo

James "Jimmy" M Dabrieo, 71, of Kingston, formerly of Peabody, died Sunday evening surrounded by his family at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. He was the former husband of the late Kathleen M. Doyle.

Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Horace J. Dabrieo Jr and Barbara (Tibbetts) Dabrieo. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1969.

Upon his graduation from high school, James enlisted with the United States Navy and served from 1969 until 1972. Jimmy served aboard a number of ships, including the USS Charles Ware, before his honorable discharge.

Jimmy was employed as a machinist with the Gillette Company in South Boston for over 30 years before he retired.

Jim enjoyed traveling across county and abroad and especially loved going the U.S. National Parks. He also enjoyed his dogs, camping, boating, and riding his motorcycle—but his favorite activity was spending time with his grandson.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Dave Crane of Kingston, his brother Mark and his wife Debbie Dabrieo of Danvers, his sisters, Doris Dabrieo of Peabody, Nancy and her husband George Cornichuck of Peabody, Barbara Esposito of Freemont, NH, Carol Dabrieo of Plaistow, NH, and Ellen Dabrieo of Lynn. He is also survived by his beloved grandson Ronan James Crane, and by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Dabrieo.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody and his Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial services will be private.

Expressions of sympathy can be made in his name to National Parks Foundation.
