Jean (Leclerc) Conwell, 78, of Middleton, devoted wife of Ronald Conwell, passed peacefully Friday evening in her home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Dorothy Leclerc. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1961. She worked thirty-seven years for the late Dr. Paul Hannaway, Asthma and Allergy Affiliates, where she devoted herself to managing his medical practice.

Jean and her beloved husband traveled the world and were avid golfers. They spent much of their time on the beaches of New Smyrna and Cape Cod. She was a wonderful mother and amazing grandmother. A lover of animals, she was especially fond of her Yorkies, Cubby and Jakey.

Jean is survived by her husband, Ronald, of Middleton, her daughter, Kellie Barrett and her children Eamon, Aidan and Alexa, her son Michael and wife Carol and their son Troy and daughter Casey, and her brother Ronald Leclerc and wife Janice. She was predeceased by her brother Donald Leclerc and his wife Rosie.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, September 24, from 10 AM-12 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, with a Celebration of Life service to follow.
