Obituary For Jeanne M Johnson
Jeanne M. Johnson, 91, of West Peabody MA, formerly of Somerville, MA, beloved wife of the late James E. Johnson, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Jeanne is the daughter of the late Catherine and Wilbur Hannaford and stepdaughter of Jeremiah Holland. She was predeceased by her son James Johnson, her brother and his wife Kenneth and Rita Hannaford and her sister Patricia Wall.
Jeanne was a loving, devoted wife and mother to her husband and her nine children, her 36 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was a devout Catholic, who attended church every week, followed by hosting her children and grandchildren for Sunday dinner. Jeanne loved spending time with her family up north, vacationing in Aruba, and spending time in Florida during the winter months. She was also an enthusiastic Red Sox fan who never missed a game. Jeanne loved spending time with her family and extended family, especially during the holidays.
She will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses, Linda Blais of Lowell, Janice and the late Robert Silva of Wilmington, Karen and Edward Mayo of West Peabody, Patricia and Raymond LaBranche of Lynn, Michael and Jeanette Johnson of Chelmsford, Mary Ellen and Thomas Batts of Lynn, Sandra and Daniel Bouchard of Medford and Joanne Johnson of Salem.
She worked for several years at Saint Ann’s Church in Somerville, MA and Saint Athanasius in Reading, MA. She was also a Lay Eucharistic Minister at Saint Adelaide’s Parish in West Peabody and Saint Ann’s Parish. Jeanne will be missed by all who knew her as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 util 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970.
