Obituary For Jeri Hilenski

Jeri J. (Quinn) Hilenski, 74, of Peabody, died Thursday May 26 surrounded by her family at her home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Edwin L. Hilenski with whom she shared over 53 years of marriage the past April 12.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Victoria (Karpinski) Quinn. She was raised in Peabody and later graduated from St. James High School.

Jeri was a loving, caring, happy women, caring deeply for her family and friends which were many. She was active in St. Joseph’s Church in Peabody from CCD Teacher, was chairperson of the Polish Picnic, was on the committee to try and keep the church open and was a member of Daughter’s of St. Joseph as well.

She enjoyed parties, especially their pool parties and Christmas parties at their home, Polka Dancing and gardening as well. She enjoyed wintering at their winter home in West Palm Beach, Florida and really enjoyed life and will be missed by all the lives she touched, especially her husband who cared for her until the end.

Besides her loving husband of 53 years, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Donna Hilenski-Brophy of Newburyport and by countless friends, co-workers, and by her cats, Missy, Mikey, Mickey, Mindy, and Gracie. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Maryellen Muckenhoupt.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by brief service at 7:00 PM to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 or Daughters of St. Joseph, 15 Endicott St. Peabody, MA 01960.

    worked with jeri at tel co.in early 70's. she was a fine and caring woman. remember playing simple pranks on her and checking her car and having her mother come over to the car and saying: "hey boy what are you doing"/

    Eddie my heart is heavy & deeply sad of the loss of Jeri, we worked together for many years & always had a special place in my heart, a beautiful friend and never to be forgotten. She adored you and I know it was the same! She truly is an Angel! She always called me Emma! My prayers are with you, my Billy passed 2 years ago 6/26/20, and it is difficult to let them go, but he is my motivation to make the most of each day, and it keeps me going!     I love and miss you Auntie. You were there for us while no body else was. You never lost hope or faith and you always made sure to tell me the importance of keeping a strong faith.
