PEABODY – Joan E. (Quinn) Lamprey, 83, died Saturday, September 25, 2021_at Masconomet Healthcare in Topsfield following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was the wife of the late Alfred W. Lamprey who died in 2018.

Born in Salem on September 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Elizabeth J. (Olsson) Quinn. A graduate of Salem High School class of 1956. she was a resident of Peabody for over fifty years before moving to Boxford five years ago.

Joan was employed as a waitress at the former Commadore Restaurant in Beverly for over twenty-five years and had also worked in the bakery department at Henry’s Market in Beverly for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and neighborhood friends and playing with her grand-dogs, “Zoey” and the late “Chloe”.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steven J. and Sheena Lamprey of Boxford; a grandson, Ryan J. Lamprey of Boxford; a sister, Ellen Quinn of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.

Her visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 30 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody from 4 – 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
