Joanne LaBonte, 78, of Peabody, loving daughter of the late Joseph “Alfred” and Helen (Maydenski) LaBonte passed away at her residence on Friday, March 25, 2022.

Joanne was born in Peabody on June 3, 1943 and had lived in Peabody all her life. She graduated from Peabody High School, class of 1960.

Joanne was a life long Holy Rosary member of St. Joseph’s Church and a choir member for over 30 years and served as parish secretary from 1976 until the closing of the church in 1997.

Joanne worked in Jordan Marsh after high school for 15 years. She later worked for the City of Peabody for 26 years until her retirement.

She was a member of the daughters of St. Joseph, United Parish Organization of Peabody and the PCOA. She loved to do crafts of all kinds and was an avid reader.

Joanne is survived by her nieces and nephews, Joseph Cole and his wife Jane, Richard Cole, Patricia Musial, and Christopher Cole; her great nieces and nephews, Andrew, Heather, Dylan, Amanda, Cory, Makenzie and Cameron. She was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Kutsumitis, and many furry friends that she loved very much.
