Peabody – Jose A. Jimenez 85, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peabody.

Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Eligio and Maria (Cruz) Jimenez. He emigrated to the United States in the early 1970’s settling in New York City before moving to Massachusetts over twenty-five years ago.

A well renowned chef, Jose prepared food at the highest levels in the Dominican Republic, New York City and well as for the United Nations.

He was a loving brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving him are five brothers, Caesar Jimenez of Salem, Julio Jimenez of Buffalo, NY, Raul Jimenez of Spain, William Jimenez of New York City and Juan Jimenez of Dominican Republic, a sister, Fiol Cruz of Beverly and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, Monday, September 4, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.
