Obituary For Joseph Novick

Joseph Novick, 82, of Danvers and formerly of Peabody, died Monday afternoon at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Pauline R (Dupuis) Novick.

Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Boreiza) Novick. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1958. He has lived in Danvers for the past 50 years.

Joseph was employed with General Electric in Lynn for over 25 years as a supervisor before he retired. Upon his retirement he enjoyed traveling to Curacao and the Caribbean Islands. He liked vintage old cars and was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching all of Boston’s professional sports teams, especially the Patriots.

Joseph is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Besides his loving wife, he was predeceased by his siblings, William and Walter Novick and Olga Florence.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 9:00 until 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing as well.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Danvers Senior Center, 12 Sylvan St, Danvers, MA 01923.
