Obituary For Joyce E. Lucier - Kenney

Peabody – Joyce E. Kenney (Lucier) 56, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 27, 2021 in Peabody.

Born in Stoneham, she was the daughter of the late Richard B. Kenney Sr and Gail (Joyce) Kenney. She was raised in West Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School.

A loving mother and grandmother, Joyce dedicated her life to raising her family. Her greatest joys were spending time with her daughters and grandchildren and bringing family and friends together. She had a great love for the beach and doing arts and crafts with her grandchildren.

Surviving her are her two daughters, Tanya Sarantis and her husband, Greg and Tanya’s father, Henry Bettencourt all of Lynn, Nichole Sarantis of Peabody and Nichole’s father, John Sarantis of Danvers, three grandchildren, Kayla Magnan, Demetrios Velez and Alexander Velez, a sister, Debbie Kenney and her companion, Phil of Peabody, two brothers, Richard Kenney and his wife, Brenda of Peabody and Robert Joyce and his wife, Barbara of Hanson, Joyce’s companion, Dan Cheng of Winthrop and a large extended family. She was also the sister of the late Evelyn Acevich and Mark Kenney.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.     Nichole and Tanya I am so sorry for your loss. Joyce was an amazing person she always lit up any room she came in! I know it's been many years since I've been around but I know she was loved by so many and I'm sure she was an amazing grandmother. I will miss her and my prayers will be with you and your families.
