Obituary For Kyle T. Desmond

It pains me to admit it, but apparently, I have passed away. Everyone told me it would happen, but I just wasn’t listening. It’s just one of the many things that didn’t go my way, but that’s the story of my life!
While I’m on the subject of my life, it all started one drunken night around September 1988. As always, I didn’t quite get my way. I wanted to be an only child but I got stuck with a twin. My twin Kory is okay as we became better friends in our adult years, but he was kind of gay at times. Two years after I was born, I found out that I was getting a sister, so there went all hope of getting rid of Kory and being and only child. No surprise that my sister Nicolette became my favorite of course until my beloved niece Emma came along. She was the person I loved the most.
Enough about them. Now I want to talk about my father Tom. I can’t begin to say how lucky I was to get such an amazing father. My dad Tom did so many things for me and my siblings, more than I could ever say. I loved bringing him to all kinds of concerts, especially one of his favorite bands Toto. We also always loved going to the famous Little Depot Diner in Peabody. One of the most annoying things my dad always said was, “you need to clean your room.” I never wanted to and now I do not have to. Unfortunately, Kory and Nicolette now have to pick up more slack with dad, especially since he is helpless with technology.
I was so close with so many of my family and friends that it would take a book to fill all of them in, and if you are not aware, obituaries are beyond stupid expensive, more than some of the guns I owned, so I am sorry for all those that have been left out. I am not sure if you know but my dad is retired and on a fixed income because he’s so old, so I’d like to save him a few bucks.
As many of the people who knew me would say “just get to the point already” so here it is:
Kyle was survived by his father, Thomas M. Desmond of Peabody; his mother, Salina (Melanson) Desmond of Old Town, ME; his twin brother, Kory Desmond; his sister Nicolette Desmond and her fiancé Paul Newton; his niece, Emma Bostick, and many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Peabody Police Department’s charity, Cops for Kids with Cancer.

Tom, Kory, Nicolette & Emma, I honestly don't know what to say to any of you. This is just not right! Kyle should be here with us drinking a beer with that dimpled smile, telling us stories and telling everyone how Emma is his favorite! I have watched all of you grow up, we are still working on you, Tom. Kyle would not want us to be crying or sad over his death. He would want us to laugh, drink a few drinks and tell everyone how awesome he is. Rest in Peace sweet Kyle. ❤ Hugs to all of you!

Kyle was always someone who was willing to help or go the extra mile for anyone. The world needs more of that. Thank you for always supporting me along the way and for being such a great brother to my best friend and uncle to your niece. Your family is lost without you, and it's easy to understand why. Rest in peace Kyle. Love, Sam

Kyle, I am so sorry to hear of your passing. We only started talking a little while back when we started seeing each other at a bunch of shows, but I have such fond memories of us talking about upcoming concerts we would be attending together and looking forward to attending so many! You would always send me pictures from the show/you would call them "action shots" of me and my mom being front row with the artist. We had sooo many more concerts to attend. My mom and I's next show at the HOB will be in your honor. RIP. Until we meet again. You will be missed. - Casandra and Lori

Still doesn't feel real brother, you were my partner for almost a year and when I return to work it just isn't going to feel right. The ball busting the laughs and you tossing me around in the truck just for a good laugh damn imma miss it. Love you brother till we meet again

You were one of a kind Sideswipe. Always had a joke or a fun story to tell. We lost a good one, taken way too early

I never met him in person, but we messaged a few times. Kyle was hilarious, and so kind hearted. I am so sorry for your loss.

While I never had the pleasure to know or meet Kyle, I sure wish I had after reading his obituary. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I am so sorry for your loss, a tremendous loss at that. Rest in peace, Kyle.

This is the kind of obituary that makes me regret never meeting someone. It appears Kyle lived by my motto, I may not make a good impression but I'll make a lasting one. So sorry for your loss. You're all in my thoughts.

Kyle, it was a pleasure knowing you, and I could say I knew every time I saw you there would be a memory of some sort that would take place and leave me laughing...like the time you volunteered for a golf tournament I was playing in and your driving heroics put the cart you were in right into the marsh...or the determined belly flop in Ken and Alice's pool left your entire midsection beet red. You went at it wrong and strong, full speed ahead, and with a twinkle in your eye and a big smile. I am blessed to be able to call the Desmond family friends, and it was a pleasure knowing you. May I one day show up in an unfamiliar place and find you standing there...Rest easy, my friend. Lou

Kyle you were such a kind, funny, generous young man. I will always be grateful for your thoughtfulness when Pete was sick. We had a wonderful time at the Toto concert because of you and Pete got to meet "Luke". My heart breaks for your family and friends. Tom you raised a wonderful boy. Michelle DiStefano

First time i shot a gun was with you man, glad i took some photos of you blasting away. Youre a good friend and you and your friend kept an eye on my dumb self in DC when my phone died, ill always appreciate that. You were always happy to answer my questions about firearms or shoot the breeze about music. Ill miss you, Bud, wish we spent more time together.

Kyle. You still make people smile and laugh, even when you aren't even here. Your obituary was perfect and your last goodbye. I will at least get your personality still through your dad, but it still won't be the same. 🙁 Tom, my heart breaks for you, Kory, Nicolette and Emma. I am thinking of you all during this difficult time. Please let me know if you need anything.

Kyle, a friend, a brother. Taken from all of us way too soon. Shocking as it may be, I'm at a total loss for words as there aren't any to describe what I'm feeling and how much you'll be missed. Fly high brother! MLL&R!

Kyle was more than my best friend, in the past years he became a part of me I went hardly with out him . He had my six no matter where my back was facing and we spent countless hours taking short trips, Singing, and just sitting on my patio discussing the hot topics. He was my best friend, my confidante, and my "brother" I learned alot about his life and let him talk. Kyle I am lost right, and you my friend I will always miss. Dubz
