My heart goes out to Carol and the family. Larry leaves a legacy of kindness and love for his family, his work, the Federal Court in Boston and all the people who worked there no matter what capacity. On a personal note, I give Larry all the credit for his brilliance at a time that few knew how to write computer programs. He taught himself and created computer programs that enabled the Probation office to collect important sentencing data and keep the court informed on the impact certain laws had on the lives of defendants. I treasure every moment and idea that Larry shared with me. Larry was indeed a very special and humble person never seeking praise for his accomplishments.
