Lena L (Bisesti) Berube, 87, of Danvers, died unexpectedly on Thursday June 9, 2022, at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late John T. Berube. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Eleanor (Caggiano) Bisesti. She was raised in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School, class of 1954. Upon her marriage to her husband John, she moved to Beverly where she raised her family and lived there for over 63 years. She spent the last 2 years living in Danvers at Putnam Hill Farms.Lena was a bookkeeper who worked with her husband who was a proprietor of several business over the years, including Modern Cleaners in Peabody and Sunbeam Cleaners in Danvers. Lena was a longtime member at the former St. Alphonse’s Church in Danvers where she taught CCD for many years and was a member of the choir as well. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, baking, and doing ceramics. Her favorite endeavor was spending time with her family, especially her seven grandchildren. Lena is survived by her son, John T. Berube, Jr, and her three daughters, Cheryl and her husband Greg Sawchuk, Eleanor and her husband Jay Mack, and Michele Berube, her two sisters, Frances Keene of Naples, ME and Dorothy Grace of CA, and is also survived by her beloved seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Andrew, Matthew, Deborah, Dianah, and Anthony. Besides her loving husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Domenic, John, and Vincent Bisesti, and Florence Fasciano, and her step mother, Phyllis Bisesti. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody. Following cremation, her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
